The Friends of Orchestral Music hosts the Final Dress Rehearsals (FDR) of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra Summer Festival Season.
The one and only pianist Olga Kern performs Tchaikovsky in this benefit gala, while Bernhard Gueller, principal guest conductor of the CPO directs two more iconic works.
The pieces set for performance are:
- Tchaikovsky Celebration
- Waltz from Eugene Onegin
- Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor, Op. 23
- Symphony No 4 in F minor, Op. 36
All proceeds collected go directly to the running costs of the orchestra.
