The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) presents their Summer Symphonies at the City Hall, inviting renowned conductors and soloists to perform works by respected composers.
This second instalment of the series is titled 'Mostly French' and features Philadelphia-born symphonic, operatic, and ballet conductor, Jonathan McPhee, with renowned South African pianist, Ben Schoeman as soloist.
The programme features performances of John Simon's 'Fugal Fantasia', Ravel's 'Le Tombeau de Couperin', Saint-Saëns; 'Piano Concerto No. 4 in C minor, Op. 44', and Bizet's 'Symphony No. 1 in C'.
