The Cape Town Philharmonic Winter Symphonies concert series consists of three concerts, the last of which is a concert version of Il Trovatore, conducted by Jeremy Silver and presented with the support of the City of Cape Town.
Jeremy Silver conducts a concert version of Il Trovatore, Verdi’s masterpiece, with Opera UCT, the CPO Afri-Arts Choir and soloists Nontobeko Bhengu (Leonora) Mkhanyiseli Dyantyi (Manrico), Bongiwe Nakani Mcetywa (Azucena), Theo Magongoma (Conte di Luna) and Monde Masimini (Ferrando).
This is the first time that this great opera has been staged in Cape Town for many years.
