Diemersfontein is a working wine estate, with a fully operational wine cellar, renowned for its award-winning Pinotage – a uniquely South African cultivar. The founding family’s association and passion for the arts is deeply ingrained in the estate with regular music events then to top it all off, Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate offer 22 en-suite guest rooms.
Diemersfontein Wine invites you to stop by and visit the Tasting Room in Wellington – after all, there’s so much more to taste than just the critically acclaimed Pinotage. Open seven days a week, JJ and his team of tasting advisers eagerly await your visit. Whilst visiting the tasting room, you are able to sample the full range of wines, including the Diemersfontein Original range, the Flagship Carpe Diem range, as well as the Thokozani Range
The estate is also home to Hope Restaurant which is known for a memorable culinary adventure that compliments the beautiful wines of Diemersfontein. Hope offers contemporary bistro food that has been carefully crafted by the team of chefs. The style of food draws inspiration from all over the world, inspired by South Africa’s unique heritage, they successfully incorporate flavor’s, textures and styles to tease the palate and compliment Diemersfontein’s range of wines.
Hope Restaurant is open for Lunch on Mondays to Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm. The restaurant then opens for dinner at 8pm to 9pm from Monday to Saturday.
The Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate offers its guests a guesthouse that has been described as tranquil and comfortable. The 10 Garden Rooms and 2 Thokozani Cottages are furnished in comfortable country style and are ideal for those preferring privacy and true wine estate tranquility. There is an option of single or double/twin beds throughout and guests are welcome to enjoy the facilities available at this magnificent working wine estate.
Diemersfontein has developed a proud reputation for being among the best wedding venues in the Cape Winelands. To compliment the wedding or similar functions, the estate offers catering and menus, bar facilities as well as garden functions.
