Saxy Vibes 8 is the eighth edition of Cape Town saxophonist Don Vino’s signature concert series, returning to the Grand Arena at GrandWest following a recent international tour. Born Donveno Prins and raised in Epping Forest, Elsies River, Don Vino began his musical career on banjo and trumpet before settling on saxophone at the age of 15. He has since performed internationally across Europe, Dubai, Australia and the United States, sharing stages with Grammy Award winners including Kirk Whalum, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Jonathan Butler and Gerald Veasley.
Drawing on R&B, gospel and jazz, Don Vino has built the Saxy Vibes series into one of the Cape Town live music calendar’s most consistently popular events, with previous editions selling out venues from the Good Hope Christian Centre in Ottery to the Grand Arena. The 2026 edition features a confirmed lineup of guest artists: Loukmaan Adams, Talitha, Fagrie Isaacs Music, Jonathan Rubain, Peadon Smith Live, and Jodi Jantjies.
The show is recommended for audiences aged 7 and above; children 6 and under are not permitted.
