Donald Greig is a a world-renowned sculptor working primarily in cast bronze. His work is informed by a thorough knowledge and observation of the behaviour and anatomical proportions of the animals that he sculpts. Grieg's sculptures include a large variety of birds and animals, all with exceptional lifelike detail, as well as some more stylised pieces.
In 2010, Greig opened his foundry and gallery in the V&A Waterfront's historic harbour area. Visitors can peruse the gallery featuring Greig's finished works in a elegantly curated display and visit the bronze foundry, the largest in Africa, to see the casting process in action.
