Francophonie le Cap

Now in its fifth year, The Francophonie Food & Culture Festival is a free, family-friendly festival offers an engaging celebration of French language, culture, and creativity.

Visitors can explore more than 60 stalls offering authentic food, artisanal products, and cultural displays from across the Francophone world. The festival grounds will be alive with activity, featuring a vibrant beer garden serving world-renowned Belgian beers and refined wine tastings for guests to enjoy while immersed in the atmosphere of musique, culture et gourmandises. A live raclette station run by the Swiss Consulate will allow visitors to watch this classic dish being prepared on site, adding to the culinary journey.

The stage serves as the heart of the celebration, where audiences can enjoy the high-energy spectacle of Can-Can dancers and lively performances from Madagascar, among other international acts. Alongside live French music, these performances showcase the vibrant diversity and creativity of Francophone cultures.

Festival-goers also have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive raffle with exciting prizes, while special appearances by French dog breeds are set to delight visitors of all ages.

Parking is available at Kirstenbosch Cottages, with a free shuttle service to the festival.
