HYROX is an incredibly intense competition and not for the faint-hearted. The event takes training, endurance, mental grit, and sheer willpower. However, regardless of whether you're a seasoned competitor or just starting your fitness journey, everyone has to start somewhere.
In preparation for the official HYROX race, Body Action Gym in Bedfordview is giving fitness enthusiasts one last chance to put their preparation to the test by hosting a HYROX Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The timed fitness challenge is designed to give people a taste of what awaits on race day, and it's also a chance for athletes to test their pacing, strength and endurance before the real thing.
The test features a 1000m run, 50 burpee broad jumps, 100 stationary lunges, a 1000m row, 30 hand-release push-ups and 100 wall balls,
The event is a chance for athletes to get a better idea of which HYROX race division suits them by giving them a clearer picture of their strengths and what still needs work. It's also an opportunity to experience the atmosphere, test their mental strength, and see just how much their body can take.
The event is open to the public, bringing fitness enthusiasts and training partners together to take on the same challenge.
