Set within the Klein Karoo, Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve has been characterised as an arid landscape punctuated by stark mountains. It is one of the leading Big 5 games reserves near Cape Town and is notable for its conservation of cheetahs.
Inverdoorn's conservation centre, Cape Cheetah, was founded in 2001, and has helped to grow the country’s cheetah population and remains a key focus at Inverdoorn. In addition to the Big 5, other animals that live on the 10,000-hectare reserve include hippos, giraffes, zebras, springbok and wildebeest.
