The annual Japanese Festival returns to Central Square Menlyn Maine this weekend.
As always, the festival features cultural exhibits and presentations, as well as Japanese martial arts demonstrations. On 6 June, the festival hosts a special live screening event of Japan vs SA women’s soccer match at 8.50am.
The schedule features workshops, tea ceremonies, anime after hours, specials, J-pop culture merchandise for sale and much more. Workshops include origami, sip & paint and sushi demonstrations. Workshops must be booked in advanced and cost R350 upwards.
