Lion's Head peaks at 669 meters above sea level and is a favorite hiking spot for locals. The hike takes about 3 hours to complete and is particularly popular during a full moon. Lion's Head is covered in fynbos, with unusually rich biodiversity that supports a variety of small animals.
For those less inclined to sweat, Signal Hill or 'Lion's Rump' is a landmark flat-topped hill located next to Lion's Head and Table Mountain.
