Main Street Sundays is an initiative mimicking Bree Street Sundays in Cape Town, with the intention of creating more regular car-free days in the Inner City.
The event is car-free, transforming the street into a place filled with music, food, movement, kids’ activities, markets, and pure Jozi vibes all the way down the strip. The event is suitable for all ages, and it's a fun way to experience the inner city as a people-first playground for a day.
Registration is free but necessary as it keeps the event safe, manages numbers on the street, and finalizes plans for enough activities and facilities.
