The Malcolm Jiyane Tree-O launches their second album, 'True Story' alongside an accompanying film screening.
Composer and trombonist Jiyane weaves a metaphorical autobiography in 'True Story' and thematically captures a picture of what it feels like to live in South Africa.
The record is backed by the core unit of Ayanda Zalekile (bass), Lungile Kunene (drums), Gontse Makhene (percussion) and Nkosinathi Mathunjwa (piano/keys), along with a slew of contributors. Several of the tracks also feature backing vocals from the likes of Nosisi Ngakane, Dumama and Siya Makuzeni.
