Museum of Illusions

The Museum is home to a wide range of playful exhibitions, eye-catching visual experiences, educational displays, and optical illusions that change with perspective or trick the eyes.

Johannesburg is the first South African city to welcome this immersive experience. The concept started in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2015 and has since expanded worldwide to over 50 cities such as Dubai, Chicago, New York, Paris, Istanbul, Shanghai, Cairo, Kuala Lumpur and Dallas.

There are over 60 extraordinary exhibits that use optical illusions, visual tricks, and hands-on interactive displays to create a playful environment, nothing is ever quite as it seems. Let loose in the Illusion Rooms with intriguing visual, sensory, and a never-before-seen educational experience.

There’s no shortage of quirky installations where guests can hang out and incredible image display tricks.
