The 15th annual Mzansi Fela Festival takes place from 1 to 18 December at the SA State Theatre and features music, comedy and live performances.
This beloved arts festival was founded in order to support local music, theatre, dance, comedy, and poetry. Musicians performing this year are KB Motsilanyane, Zonke, Tumi Mogorosi, Mbuso Khoza, Zakhele Mabena, Pdoto & Blaklez while featured comedians this year are Thapelo King Flat Mametja, Trevor Gumbi and Toll A$$ Mo.
The dance piece 'Kontroller', choreographed by Teboho Moloi and Sphiwe Phiri, also premiers on the first day of the festival after the South African State Theatre exhibited it and other dance works throughout 2022.
