Hosted by the Mandoza Foundation in partnership with Soweto Theatre, The Nkalakatha Fest celebrates the enduring power of 'Nkalakatha', a South African anthem released by icon Mandoza in 2000. The song went on to unite the nation, and even today, it remains deeply rooted in South African culture.
The event features legendary pioneers like Boom Shaka and Oskido as well as today’s biggest stars, taking audiences on a musical journey from kwaito and Maskandi to house and amapiano.
Nkalakatha Fest is a homecoming, celebrating culture, community and generations while creating opportunities through the Nkalakatha Village and Youth Development.
