The enormously popular Open Book Festival returns to the Mother City this September.
The festival attracts top writers and audiences and showcases some of the best of South African writing and aims at making a significant and sustainable contribution to the future South Africa's youth by building a love of reading and books among the youth of Cape Town.
Though the festival features many South African-based writers, it also features a number of writers from the broader African region. It has welcomed hundreds of writers and audience members to be part of meaningful conversations exploring some of the challenges faced by global citizens.
