Origin is a full weekend of conscious partying as the techno-shamanic tribes from the cities, towns, fields and forests gather in a valley of breath-taking natural beauty to celebrate life and togetherness.
As one Africa’s brightest shining lights for psychedelic music, art, and culture, Origin strives to promote Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect for all, through strengthening the global community based on conscious party ethics and respect for nature.
All communities are important and as such Origin is privileged to be able to offer a percentage of the profits every year to development projects under the guidance of the local municipality.
2024 marks 20 years of Origin Festival
This year Origin increases the limited attendance to 3500 tickets only.
For two decades Origin Festival has been synonymous for pushing the boundaries of outdoor events in South Africa, and this year will be no different, with new installations and concepts added.
Origin still believes in growing slowly with a renewed focus and this will only make Origin stronger for the years to follow.
There are no farm cottages / farm accommodation available to rent, please do not call the farm to enquire about this. The festival uses all farm accommodation.
Luxury camping options set in a private and secure area, with 24/7 management, that includes exclusive and well managed toilets are available only for use by Camp Comfort attendees.
Budget friendly pre-set up tents with mattresses and pillows are available in general camping.
Camp Comfort and Easy Life Camping tickets do not include festival entrance tickets, those are sold separately.
The Psychedelic Temple continues to grow and spread its tendrils around you as you are cocooned by an all new canopy designed specifically for Origin by Artescape Decor.
As always the line-up promises to host some of the best musical talent South Africa has to offer, plus major international headliners too.
Opening Friday afternoon with Yoga and opening ceremony, the party then gets kick-started and rocks till sunrise, followed by chilled beats rolling through Saturday morning and lunch time, before launching into the stratosphere again for Saturday night and all day Sunday with more big stomping psychedelic beats.
Aptly named, The Beats Floor has become a key feature of Origin, with its carefully curated artists and amazingly quirky decor. Positioned in the most idyllic location for a dance-floor, amongst the trees alongside the beautifully fresh mountain water of the Elandskloof river, the lush riverside lawn calls out for all you sun-seeking denizens. Warm Melodic Techno and Organic Deep House weaves into an ecstatic eruption of good vibes to keep the dancers and mermaids spinning!
