Pecha Kucha is a global storytelling platform that celebrates people, passion, and creative thought.
Originating in Japan in 2003, PechaKucha was created by renowned architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. The term Pecha Kucha translates to "chit chat" in Japanese, perfectly capturing the essence of its engaging and dynamic presentations.
The PechaKucha Night events bring creative minds together to share their passions, adventures, and unique perspectives. The evening is filled with a diverse line up of speakers, each bringing their own unique story to the stage through a rapid-fire succession of presentations covering a wide array of topics, from personal journeys and artistic ventures to innovative ideas and community projects.
Featured speakers and their presentation topics include Deborah Stewart's 'Fulvic Acid: A Secret Key To Health', Gerhard Moolman's 'We Live On The Edge Of The Miraculous', Pippa Jarvis' 'A Circular Economy. Trust the Ripple', Adrienne Leussa's 'So You Think You Can Lead?', Nontuthuko Mhlungu's 'Take Off The Mask', Anita Jack's 'Healing Generations: The Invisible Ties That Bind', Mary Khutlane's 'What Is Self-Love', and a talk from event organiser Jacques de Villiers.
Each speaker presents 20 images, each shown for just 20 seconds, forcing them to convey their message in a concise, lively, and impactful manner, making every second count. From captivating tales to innovative projects, each presentation is set to leave guests inspired and energised.
Guests can also enjoy a harvest table dinner as part of the package, but drinks are tabulated to their own account.
