Mdlalose is a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s South African College of Music, and her acclaimed debut album, Indlel’eyekhaya, established her as a powerful artistic voice, blending jazz, African song traditions, and contemporary influences into a sound that is both sophisticated and deeply rooted.
The Sankayi Jazz Series launched in May 2026 and has established itself as one of Johannesburg’s premier destinations for live jazz. Running weekly, the series offers a space where music, atmosphere, and hospitality come together.
