The first Scatterlings Music Festival has officially launched, bringing together great music, high energy, and a live crowd.
The event honours Johnny Clegg’s legacy and links to the upcoming Scatterlings album, a project curated by Johnny’s son, Jesse Clegg, and South African composer and singer, Msaki.
The festival kicks off the August event schedule and features a lineup that celebrates South Africa's diverse artists and genres, including Afro-house, pop, and folk, and features award-winning artists like Zakes Bantwini, Sjava, Tresor, Simmy, Sun El, Msaki, Muzi, Jesse Clegg, J’Something from MiCasa, Zolani Mahola, Sminofu, and new voices, each performing their greatest hits and new songs.
The event is more than a music festival, as it also celebrates collaboration, music, and meaning.
