Event information
Scene It harnesses the collective power of short videos to promote creatives in Cape Town.
Via a series of public campaigns, it curates the best short video submissions to create themed video ‘routes’.
Kate Crane-Briggs – founder and lead tour guide of Culture Connect SA – was asked to recommend some of her favourite buildings in Cape Town’s CBD. Scene It then invited the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra to ‘hide’ five of their musicians within these buildings, so the camera could create a game of finding them while exploring each of these beautiful, historical spaces.
Filmed by David Fanyane and Tamara MacLachlan.
Click on the website link to view the videos or - better still - follow the route on foot and find the QR codes to watch the videos in the same place in which they were filmed. You can also film and submit your own video for consideration!
