Poppy's Cresta welcomes internationally renowned UK jazz band, Shakatak, to the stage.
The band has managed to maintain their longevity by fostering an interesting sound that both appeals to the "underground" market whilst also helping them become a household name. Shakatak’s sound has evolved over the years, incorporating elements of dance, soul, and smooth jazz into their music.
For live performances the band consists of original members Bill Sharpe, Jill Saward, Roger Odell, George Anderson and Keith Winter augmented with Jacqui Hicks (background vocals and saxophone) or Debby Bracknell (background vocals and flute) producing a musically dynamic and entertaining show from the line-up.
