A fabulous afternoon showcasing preloved clothing, live music, nibbles and drinks in a beautiful setting.
The main focus of the event is a Fashion Show with the chance to shop pre-loved clothing afterwards. Nibbles are served throughout the event as well as wine and sparkling wine tastings by Bon Courage and a gin bar hosted by Houtbay Harbour Distillery.
There is also a live performance by multi-genre Mathew Reid, who might play anything from classical music to light jazz, Mediterranean, Gypsy, Balkan or Klezmer music.
The event takes place at The Residency, Simon’s Town Museum, which was built in 1777 as the winter residence for the Dutch East India Company Governor at the Cape, and now exhibits the cultural history of the people of Simon’s Town.
Proceeds from the event go to the Phoenix Committee, which was formed in 1996 to preserve the heritage of the Simon’s Town community.
