South African Jewish Museum

Rare Judaica artifacts are on display and animated video footage gives life to some of the famous Jewish entrepreneurs and personalities such as Barney Benato and Max Rose, Harry Oppenheimer, Samual Marks and Helen Suzman. The museum also houses an exhibition of Netsuke (minature Japanese sculpture).

The Cape Town Holocaust & Genocide Centre began as Africa's first Holocaust centre in 1999 and was officially opened by Nelson Mandela in 2000. It works towards a more caring and just society in which human rights and diversity are respected and valued. Through exhibitions, events and workshops, it commemorates the victims and survivors of the Nazi regime and the numerous genocides that happened before and since the Holocaust.
