"Space and Time" is a solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Cascia Day of Diem Creations. The exhibition takes its title from a Jean-Michel Basquiat quote and brings together works from four of Day's series: Stone Angels, Spaced Out, Valkyrie, and Global Street Art Safari. Her practice centres on gel plate printmaking and mixed media, with themes of resilience, transformation and the human experience expressed through bold colour, layered textures and symbolic imagery. Day is also a practising medical professional and researcher, a background that informs her approach to creativity and storytelling.
The exhibition forms part of Onomo Hotel's ongoing #OnomoCreatives initiative, a platform supporting local artists and bringing cultural programming to the Cape Town community. Original works on display are available for purchase.
On opening night, Day will invite a limited number of attendees to co-create an original artwork with her live at the event. Participants will be randomly selected from those present.
The exhibition is on display throughout the hotel for three months.
