Conscious Connections SA (CC-SA) is a social experience dedicated to the art and science of human connection.
This facilitated, sober-friendly social experiment teaches guests how to practise absolute presence, set clear boundaries, and experience authentic relating.
The day begins with a digital detox, and upon arrival, guests switch off their phones. They then pick a unique conversational card from the arrival board, which reveals a visitor's initial table network of 6 people. Throughout the afternoon, guests engage in a tactical scavenger hunt, tackle rapid quizzes and solve riddles with their designated teams.
Visitors are also encouraged to participate in a series of intentional, timed 1-on-1 conversations, and they use a physical event tracker card to make personal notes. After the event, guests hop online and discreetly let the organisers know who they'd like to stay in touch with, and if the interest is mutual (whether platonic or romantic), the organisers securely share the contact details within 48-72 hours.
Guests can indulge in food stations featuring a delicious spread of savoury pastries, meat, and gourmet vegetarian platters prepared by The Acreage’s top chefs. Waiters are also on standby to serve guests soft drinks, mixers, or speciality coffees on their own tabs.
While the official facilitated lab wraps up at 4 pm, the bar remains open late into the evening so newly formed connections can stay on-site as the sun goes down and keep the conversational momentum flowing.
