Earth Centre NPC is a long-established organisation specialising in the field of Equine Facilitated Therapies. The centre offers an extensive experience and working alongside their horses in supporting the people living with disabilities, the vulnerable and the disadvantaged.
Earth Centre partners with 11 special needs schools in Gauteng, building long-lasting relationships with each of them to provide essential therapeutic services to their students.
The centre also reaches further into the most vulnerable communities through quarterly programmes in Soweto, Zandspruit, Cosmo and by partnering with various other organisations, providing physical and social relief and building capacity in these communities.
The Therapy Riding Programmes caters for people with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, ADD / ADHD and the Deaf.
The Equine Facilitated Therapy and Learning programmes, empower and educate people with disabilities and disadvantages, and assist with minimising barriers to opportunities in mainstream society, and improve quality of life across all spheres.
Volunteers are welcome to help with assisting in the weekly lessons weekly with the more than 150 children that are currently riding horses at the centre.
