The Rescue Expo returns to Bryanston Market, bringing together more than 50 of Gauteng's ethical animal rescue and rehabilitation organisations for a fun-filled feel-good family day celebrating compassion, conservation and second chances.
Hosted by The Rescue Collective in partnership with Hill's Pet Nutrition, the annual event has become Joburg’s biggest gathering of the rescue community, connecting organisations that dedicate their lives to caring for abandoned and injured animals with thousands of animal lovers eager to support their work.
Visitors can expect an extraordinary mix of organisations caring for everything from dogs and cats to farm animals and wildlife. The event offers families the opportunity to meet the people behind the rescues, hear remarkable stories, learn about responsible pet ownership, discover volunteer and fostering opportunities and support organisations through purchases, donations and adoptions.
Children and leashed pets are welcome, with plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy delicious food, browse pet products and gifts, meet animal behaviourists and welfare experts, have photos taken with colourful parrots and spend the day surrounded by fellow animal lovers.
