The Gauteng Chamber of Music Collective presents 'Themes and Variations' - A Piano Recital by Pieter Jacobs. Jacobs, who is an acclaimed piano soloist and chamber musician returns to the Northwards House stage with a performance of timeless masterpieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert, and Robert Schumann. The concert offers a unique and close-knit experience, allowing the audience to connect intimately with the pianist.
The musical programme includes Beethoven Variations on an original theme in C minor and WoO 80, pieces from Franz Schubert's Four Impromptu's, including D935 No 3 in B flat major (Andante - Theme and variations), Brahms Theme and variations in D minor, Op 18b (arr. from String Sextet, Op. 18; dedicated to Clara Schumann), and Robert Schumann's Symphonic etudes, Op. 13 and five posthumous variations.
