Event information
Three & Nine Hours of Kyalami is the ultimate showdown of man and machine, where high-speed battles, razor-sharp turns, and the roar of revving engines collide.
The Southern African Endurance Series (SAES) hosts two days of racing, along with a music festival on Saturday and a weekend full of thrills for all motorsport and adrenaline enthusiasts, making it one of the biggest motor sporting events to hit South African soil in 2024.
Friday, gates open at 5am and the event goes straight into Round 5/6 of the SAES Championship for the Three Hours of Kyalami, followed by the Liqui Moly Super Vee SA Single Seater North vs South Double Header Festival, along with support race classes such as Sport & GT & Lotus Challenge.
Saturday involves another early start with the Liqui Moly Super Vee SA Single Seater North vs South Double Header Festival kicking off with race 1 at 6.55am, followed by support races. There is also a Pit Walk for those autograph hunters chasing that illusive selfie at 10.30am. It includes an A2 poster of every car on the grid as well as personal trading cards of each driver that attendees can get signed by the drivers themselves.
This is followed by the famous Gridwalk starting at 12.20pm to kick off the main event of Round 6 and the Final Round for the 2024 Championship for Nine Hours of Kyalami, starting at 1pm for nine hours of racetrack action.
If that's not enough, they also plan to attempt to break a few Guinness World Records with their Nine Hours of SIM Racing Championship which runs simultaneously to the SAES broadcasted live on SuperSport from the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
Other features of the event include live music entertainment from top DJs and performers, a beer garden, a flea market, go-karts, a KidsZone, and a food hall.
