Get into the Valentine's vibe!
R1150 per person includes a hands-on sushi making workshop, dinner, and wine tasting with 2 glasses of wine.
The evening will start with Japanese snacks, then move into a rice making demo, and a multi course interactive sushi rolling meal. The experience will end with a traditional miso soup featuring foraged seaweed and Meuse Farm produce, followed by dessert.
Chef Caitlin Kennedy will be teaching you to make your own sushi the traditional Japanese way, that embraces local and seasonal produce. You can expect to enjoy Meuse Farm herbs and veg including daikon, red and green shiso, Kyoto aubergine and shishito peppers. The only seafood will be local, line caught fish.
Caitlin spent 3 months in Japan learning the art of sushi making at the Tokyo Sushi Academy as well as 2 months learning from Koshi-San at Kyoto Garden Sushi. She has a lifelong love for Japanese culture and cuisine, and often incorporates Japanese flavours and techniques in her cooking.
Wine expert, Vee, will be guiding you through a relaxed wine tasting to accompany this amazing menu, and elevate your experience with some easily enjoyable wines.
After 15 years in the hospitality industry, and almost 5 years in direct wine sales, Vee has an abundance of amazing knowledge around wines, producers and practices that he loves to share with others.
The experience is vegetarian and vegan friendly by request. Please contact Meuse Farm events ahead of time if you have any dietary requirements, especially gluten intolerance.
