Menlyn Park in Pretoria is Offering Free Schoolbook Wrapping This January

Menlyn Park Shopping Centre just launched a fun and community-focused “Beat the Wrap Race” project offering free schoolbook wrapping for parents and learners across Tshwane. With South African learners having returned to school last week, the centre is stepping in to help families tackle the annual challenge of wrapping schoolbooks.

How the free schoolbook wrapping service works

Beat the back-to-school hustle at two convenient book-wrapping stations that have been set up at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. Shoppers can bring exercise books, textbooks, or any other schoolbooks to be expertly wrapped at no cost. There are two stations located near Starbucks and Timberland, and by the Toys R Us entrance.

Shoppers dropping off their books have a range of paper options to choose from, featuring vibrant colours, cheerful designs, and various types of plastic covers. The stations are stocked with stickers to label each book. A trained team is on hand to make sure your book wrapping is done quickly and neatly during the centre’s regular trading hours.

While the books are being wrapped, visitors can pop into more than 400 retailers at the centre, try a meal, go shopping or enjoy some leisure time.

Shoppers using the schoolbook wrapping service are also encouraged to make a small donation to support the Louis Botha and Jakaranda Children’s Homes. Though the book-wrapping service is free, any contribution will go a long way in making a difference in the lives of children in need.
