Inspired by the mood and magnetism of the 1970s, the venue brings a fresh after-dark energy to Rosebank.

What’s on the menu at Nine Lives

The culinary direction is led by Chef Marc Robert, whose philosophy of accessible luxury has been interpreted in various formats at Colada Hospitality’s Mamasamba, Proud Mary and Fugazzi. Dishes such as smoky bonito risotto, tuna tostada and pork dumplings reflect global influences delivered with confidence and restraint. The result is contemporary cuisine that feels indulgent without being intimidating.

Behind the bar, the programme is equally ambitious. A curated back bar showcases rare international labels not widely available in South Africa, while signature carbonated martinis and clarified classics offer a modern take on timeless favourites.
