Let the expert hosts at Caly Cafe Maggies Farm teach you new skills in the fun and relaxing environment of their studio space in Lanseria. Their aim is for every attendee to own a personalised and beautiful functional piece of art for their home they can be proud of. Guests will collect their finished ceramic pieces once it’s ready. There’s also a menu featuring breakfast, pizza, sandwiches and a kids offering.
How the Clay Cafe Maggies Farm experience works
To take the hassle out of the experience, a knowledgeable waiter or guide will explain the process, share some tips, and offer interesting designs to try. Choose from an extensive range of local clay cups, plates, vases, ornaments and other beautiful homeware accessories and be sure to dip your chosen item in water before applying paint. Gather the tools you’ll need, select your brushes and pick up some stickers to trace around or live on the edge and go free-hand.
The team is on standby to teach you the ceramic painting essentials and some specialised techniques. Techniques include sponging, stencils and paint pens. You are welcome to bring along ideas or inspiration which will help utilize your studio time.
Make sure you mark your new work of art underneath as the staff indicates to you. The piece will then undergo a glazing process to finish. Collection of ceramics will be around three weeks later. Note that Clay Cafe Maggies Farm keep items for 2 months only, after which, they are donated to charities in need.
