After nearly a decade, the Parkhurst Village Fair is making its return to Verity Park and this time, it’s powered by the people. Hosted by PRABOA (Parkhurst Residents and Business Owners Association), the 2025 Fair is being held on Saturday, 27 September, marking a revival of a cherished neighbourhood event, last held in 2016.

What to expect from the Parkhurst Village Fair’s return
After nearly a decade, the Parkhurst Village Fair is making its return to Verity Park. This year’s Fair is volunteer-driven, with local residents, businesses, and entertainers putting up their hands to create a day of connection, creativity, and celebration.
From morning yoga to live music, street food and kids’ activities, the Fair promises something for everyone, whether you’re a long-time local or a curious visitor: This is Parkhurst at its best and open to all.
The day’s highlights include:
- Kick-off community yoga class
- Live music and entertainment
- Vendors of all sorts
- Street food, craft beer, and bubbles
- Kids’ play zones
- Chill-out spaces
- RUSK-OFF finals, judged by rising local celeb Yaya of Yaya’s Rusks
- Raffle with exciting prizes
- Art auction
- Paw-parazzi Dog Show
And much more.

All about community
The Parkhurst Village Fair is more than a day out; it’s a platform for neighbourhood upliftment. PRABOA, a volunteer-run organisation, works year-round to maintain Verity Park, advocate for public benefit projects, and foster a safe, vibrant Parkhurst. Proceeds from the Fair will support these efforts, with a portion donated to a local charity selected by the Fair Committee.
Lead-Up Activations
In the weeks ahead, Parkhurst will come alive with community activations designed to spark participation and pride, including:
- Parkhurst RUSK-OFF – a friendly bake-off getting the ovens going and recipes flowing
- Photography Competition – capturing the spirit of Parkhurst
- Kids’ Art Competition – celebrating young creativity
Keep your eyes peeled on their social media to keep track of all the lead-up activations and the participating sponsors, businesses and entertainers.
You can also get involved by donating or becoming a member of PRABOA. Follow along for updates and ways to contribute.
