Parklive Festival is Celebrating Its 10th Birthday This Month With a Massive Music Event in Johannesburg

Parklive Festival celebrating its 10th birthday in style and is set to bring the good vibes for a day of great music and tasty food on Saturday 26 August. The festival brings to the stage some of music’s top artists with performances from JP Cooper (from the UK), Prime Circle, Matthew Mole, GoodLuck, Neon Dreams, Lloyiso and Shortstraw.

Top-tier live music to ring in 10 Years of Parklive Festival

For their 10th birthday party showcase, the festival is going big with a massive lineup of leading local performers all on one stage. This year’s gig programme promises to be the most exhilarating edition yet with an all star line-up featuring JP Cooper from the UK, Prime Circle, Matthew Mole, GoodLuck, Neon Dreams, Lloyiso and Shortstraw. 

Parklive Festival has become a mainstay for music lovers while drawing thousands of attendees who share a deep passion for live performances, sensational vibes, and a celebration of artistic expression.

From its humble beginnings, the festival has grown into a local phenomenon, renowned for its commitment to curating an eclectic mix of genres and embracing both established acts and rising stars.

JP Cooper

JP Cooper touches down from the UK

British singer and songwriter JP Cooper is heading to the festival as part of his South African tour. JP’s soulful voice has graced two of the biggest and most enduring Top 5 singles of the last few years. Cooper co-wrote Jonas Blue’s memorable ‘Perfect Strangers’, and his inescapable and enduring radio hit ‘September Song’ which has racked up over 850 million streams worldwide.

The Manchester-born troubadour Cooper boasts 1.5 million ADJ Global album sales, an extraordinary 5.5 billion total global streams, fuelled by his devoted 9 million monthly Spotify listeners. In addition to over 135,000 radio plays across 250 radio stations and sold out UK, European and US tours.

Tuck into street food fare and drinks

A regular fixture at this popular food and music pop-up event in Johannesburg is their immersive and all-encompassing experience. Festival-goers can beat the hunger pangs with street food, beer on tap, and other drinks from the village area. Weave your way through a welcoming mix of pop-up bars and market stalls.

Phase 1 early bird tickets are already sold out, so advance booking is absolutely critical as tickets won’t last long.

Cost: R395pp for adults and R295pp for children 6 to 17 years of age, book via Howler. Kids 5 years and under enter for free
