PICNICS IN THE PARK
Picnics In The Park is a series of themed outdoor events set throughout the year in Johannesburg and Cape Town cities respectively. Members of the public can partake and dress up whilst enjoying a relaxed outdoor atmosphere amidst a backdrop of stalls of fresh food and drink on sale and a rainbow spread of picnic blankets. The next event is themed to Alice In Wonderland’s “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” and hosted by none other than Alice, The Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit. Allow yourself to take a leap down the rabbit hole on the 4th of April at Riversands Farm and join in the attempt to break a Guinness World Record of The Most People Dressed as Characters Of Alice In Wonderland In One Place. There’ll be an opportunity to partake in a human chess game as well as Best Dressed competition and ample chocolate to be found in the Beacon sponsored Chocolate Hunt. Personalised picnic basket orders can be placed on the website. If you’d like to give back to the community in a fun and original way, you can fill in a form, and if selected, work 2 of the 3 days helping out and receive a ticket from the organisers to attend the third.
