The menu at Pigalle Bedfordview is largely based around a Portuguese-inspired grills and inventive small plates. Meat dishes reign supreme with a choice of premium steaks cooked to preference with either a pepper seasoning of Pigalle’s own basting. For a more authentic Portuguese touch, try the peri peri chicken or the duck aux fraises. The seafood section features a hearty prawn curry, seafood platter with the freshest assortment, and filleted linefish in season.
There’s a strong focus on South African wines, both boutique and big-name labels, as well as a few classic imports. Beers are mostly local, with many in bottles and a handful on tap.
