What to expect from the Rendezvous Pop-Up’s Hotel RNDV
For its fifth anniversary, Rendezvous is transforming Summer Place into Hotel RNDV, a five-star-inspired summer escape bringing together 67 curated vendors, exclusive birthday collaborations, incredible food, fashion, beauty, shopping, classes and interactive experiences – all brought to life with the signature attention to detail Rendezvous has become known for.
Visitors to the pop-up can expect a variety of fashion, lifestyle and kids’ vendors to shop from, as well as an outdoor experience with live entertainment, food, drinks and desserts, and a kids’ corner.
For the fifth birthday, think five-star hotel meets summer resort: elevated hotel-inspired details, luxury touches, plenty of photo moments, great food and an entire weekend designed for guests to check in and stay awhile.
Rendezvous is also a pop-up with a purpose, with each event being aligned to a charity organisation project. Since its inception, the platform has raised over R1 million for humanitarian and community initiatives, proving that conscious consumerism can create real change.
The five-year celebration shines a light on Africa Muslims Agency (AMA), an organisation providing food, clothing and basic necessities to orphan children. Find the AMA stall at the entrance and do your part by shopping their new merchandise, learning more about sponsoring an orphan, or simply giving what you can.
Kick-off Hotel RNDV with guided Pilates from The Lobby
This time around the pop-up event kicks off with a 50-minute guided Pilates session on the lawns – courtesy of The Lobby – before the shopping commences.
Sessions take place on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 10am, with every guest receiving a special HOTEL RNDV amenity.

Makeup Masterclasses and Beauty Sessions
Beauty lovers can check in for a series of interactive makeup experiences with Makeup by Zaakira and Snatched by Zaibs across both days.
Makeup by Zaakira will host demonstrative masterclasses covering cut crease, full glam, soft glam and mastering eyeshadow, complete with step-by-step guidance, product recommendations and a goodie bag.
Snatched by Zaibs will offer focused 40-minute beauty sessions, covering everything from quick everyday makeup and mature skin to eye looks and creating a flawless, long-lasting base.
Sessions run throughout Saturday and Sunday, with pre-booking required.

Live Portraits by Her Studiio
For a keepsake from the weekend, Her Studiio will be creating live portraits at Hotel RNDV. Guests can sit for their own personalised illustration and leave with a special memento from Rendezvous Pop-up’s fifth birthday.
Live Piercings and Fine Jewellery by 12AM Studio
12AM Studio checks into Hotel RNDV with fine jewellery, needle-only piercing and personalised ear curation.
Guests can book an individual piercing experience where each ear is carefully mapped and curated before selecting from 12AM Studio’s fine jewellery collection.
Appointments are open via 12AM Studio’s website, with the experience taking place in the S Krok Boardroom at Summer Place throughout the weekend.

Victory Park Playschool presents Hotel Rendezvous – a beach resort-inspired wonderland created especially for RNDV’s littlest guests.
Children can explore a VIP Lobby Café, Room Service Bakery, cabana construction, tropical sensory spa, private beach play area, slides, foam pit, arts and crafts, kiddie rides and more.
It’s a playful little hotel within the hotel, giving children their own space to imagine, create and explore while the grown-ups enjoy everything else Hotel RNDV has to offer.

Stop by Prawn Star for juicy prawns, crispy prawn bites and creamy prawn pasta or venture over to Smashin’ Slider for juicy smash burgers and sliders. Fan-favourite addition NY Slice offers the ultimate pizza fix and MiHa will be providing SOHO Sandwiches.
