SOULPLAY is a New Curated Live Music Experience in Joburg

SOULPLAY is a new monthly live music event in Johannesburg that is all about growing community, creativity, and connection. The first edition takes place on Saturday, 1 February 2025 at Victoria Yards.

Catch Joburg’s finest local talent for intimate performances rounded out by the best live DJ sets in the city with Soul-inspired beats. There are also interactive art displays and a chilled, vibey mood.

What’s the next SOULPLAY event about

Music lovers will be treated to an incredible performance by Phume, a Joburg-bred singer/songwriter taking the stage with soulful melodies and jazzy riffs. Phume recently collaborated with producer Yolophonik on an EP that showcases his passion for vibrant and inspiring music.

Joining him on stage will be Rudy Chalmers, a rising star whose unique sound weaves together the genres of R&B, soul, funk, and hip-hop. Rudy will release his latest single, “1985,” on 31 January 2025 and perform the exciting new track live at SOULPLAY.

In between live acts, DJs Shaqueer, A4RON, Kema and Alinaswe will keep the good vibes coming throughout the evening.
