Stay Up is a street art film experience of Maboneng created by Bheki Dube, founder of the Curiocity backpackers chain, and a team of local filmmakers during South Africa’s early 2020 lockdown.
The short film is dedicated to the street artists whose hundreds of colourful murals give Maboneng its distinctive flair.
The film features all corners of Maboneng and its numerous murals including works by artists Kim Lieberman, FALKO, Remed, Snowchino, dbongz_one, Karabo Poppy, ROA, Reggiethenomad, Link1, FreddySam and Nelson Makamo among others.
