Nostalgic Song and Stories in ‘The Marvelous Wondrettes’, Showing in Sandton

Origen Productions, in collaboration with Daphne Kuhn, is set to enchant audiences with a limited run of ‘The Marvelous Wonderettes at Theatre on the Square in Sandton from 5 to 9 September 2023. Clad in crinoline skirts and serenading with enchanting voices, the four leading ladies of the show promise to transport you back in time with beloved tunes like ‘You Don’t Own Me,’ ‘StupidCupid,’ ‘Mr. Sandman,’ ‘Respect,’ and many more.

Prepare to take a nostalgic journey through the music of the ’50s and ’60s as the production showcases over thirty timeless classic hits. The story unfolds at the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where the dreams and aspirations of Cindy Lou, Missy, Suzy, and Betty Jean come to life.

This captivating theatre production in Johannesburg has already enjoyed numerous successes in the Cape region and even earned Origen Productions two prestigious Fleur du Cap nominations for their 2022 productions.
