The next concert in the series welcomes the powerful vocals of Lloyiso and Shekhinah on Sunday, 13 October 2024, along with Manana and Filah Lah Lah at the picturesque Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia. Lloyiso, known for his emotive performances and meteoric rise to stardom, will captivate the audience with hits like “Seasons” and “Let Me Love You Now”. His soulful voice, honed from viral covers and original songs, has earned him a loyal fanbase both locally and internationally. Sharing the stage is Shekhinah, one of South Africa’s leading female artists, whose smooth blend of Pop and R&B has made her a household name. With chart-toppers like “Suited” and “Back to the Beach”, Shekhinah is set to deliver an unforgettable performance.

Zonke and Simmy to perform in Muldersdrift

The third instalment of the Old Mutual Music in the Gardens sets the stage for Zonke and Simmy on Sunday, 3 November 2024 at the idyllic Syringa Park in Muldersdrift, within the scenic Avianto Estate. You can look forward to a magical day of music, family fun, and pure joy as these celebrated artists take the stage for a soul-soothing afternoon.

Nestled amidst rolling lawns and colourful blooms, Syringa Park is the perfect escape from city life. With lots of space for kids to run around and shaded areas to relax, this family-friendly venue provides the ideal backdrop for an afternoon of soothing sounds and nature.

Zonke, the iconic singer-songwriter known for her platinum-selling albums like Ina Ethe and Work of Heart, will mesmerize the crowd with her soulful melodies. Joining her is Simmy, one of Afro-soul and house music’s brightest stars, whose uplifting hits like “Ngiyesaba” and “Umahlalela” are guaranteed to get the crowd moving.

Need to know before you go

Tickets are non-refundable. Old Mutual Music in the Gardens opens at noon, the concert starts at 1pm and ends 6pm.

Guests are welcome to take their own picnic baskets along, but bringing your own food, drinks and hard cooler boxes is prohibited. Not to worry though, because there are plenty of food and drink vendors at the event to help cater your afternoon picnic! You may also bring picnic blankets, small beach-style umbrellas, and camping chairs, however no gazebos.
