A glamorous theatrical affair

Following the triumphant return of the fabled Countess Zingara’s dinner-cirque spectacle to Cape Town last October, the enchantment continues in Johannesburg with a global cast delivering performances of skill and grandeur.

Despite a ten-year hiatus, the show doesn’t skip a beat, transporting the audience back to the golden age of showmanship with award-winning food, whimsy, magic and after-dark soirées, all wrapped in ultimate glamour.

The Royal Countess Zingara presents La Dolce Royal

This season, The Royal Countess Zingara presents La Dolce Royal, a sweet offering to South Africa and the world, a tribute to where she began and a celebration of all she has become.

Conceptualised by visionary Richard Griffin, La Dolce Royal is directed by Craig Leo and executed by an extraordinary team that have created a splendid universe where magic collides with vibrant imagination in a velvet, mirrored Spiegeltent.

Guided by a Timekeeper, Joburg Zingarians are led through a journey of wonder, music, song, spectacle and daring. Among the world-class artists performing will be former Cirque du Soleil aerial cradle specialists Juan Pablo Palacios and Victoria Perez Iacono from Argentina, rola bola balancing marvel Axel Perez from Las Vegas, acrobat Samantha Kotze from Johannesburg and The Clorettes, a vocal quartet from Cape Town.

Whether you wish to be up close to the stage or nestled in a private alcove, the choice is yours. Note that seats are limited and nights sell out quickly, so book fast when you get the chance.

Your ticket price includes a welcome drink, a four-course dinner, and the full theatrical experience under the tent. A deposit is required to secure your booking and the remaining balance of your ticket, along with any additional beverages and gratuity, is payable on the night of your visit.

A standard discretionary gratuity of 12.5% will be added to tables of six or more.
