Beirut Restaurant has been a quietly respected Lebanese restaurant in Joburg, and they’ve just rebranded as a sophisticated fine dining experience. Today you’ll find an elaborate dining experience anchored in Mediterranean, Lebanese, and Arabic cuisine in the heart of Sandton. Here’s what you need to know.

What’s on the menu at Beirut Restaurant
The menu at Beirut Restaurant is all about bringing the vibrant and diverse flavours of Mediterranean, Lebanese, and Arabic cuisine to your table. There’s an extensive menu that gives you the full spectrum of authentic cold and hot mezza, barbecue with aromatic spices, salads and dessert options.
Lebanese breakfast is served from 9am to 12pm daily and keeps it light with labneh, zesty hummus, halloumi and egg dishes that can be paired with freshly baked mana’ish (a flatbread typically topped with thyme, cheese or ground meat).
A special kibbeh menu is also on the cards. Kibbeh is much like a tartare, raw minced meat cuts are mixed with broken wheat, special spices and fresh herbs.

The atmosphere
Despite being open for some years now, you wouldn’t likely guess, looking from the outside, that behind the understated strip mall in Parkmore lies one of the city’s most exciting eateries. Beirut Restaurant’s transformation is led by Chadi Fakhoury who is a seasoned expert in the restaurant, food, and beverage industries. Fakhury oversaw every aspect from the menu to the overall dining experience, ensuring that each visit is a celebration of flavour and hospitality.
The spacious interiors are open plan with beautiful stained glass, textile and natural wood and stone elements. There’s a stage for live performances, and a balcony area overlooking the quiet street.
