The Christmas feast transforms the farm venue with festive decorations and a warm atmosphere. The buffet meal features a specially curated menu showcasing the best of the farm’s seasonal produce with creative culinary techniques that celebrate the holiday season with South African flair.

Farmhouse Bread Board & Accompaniments

Bread board options include rosemary & aged cheddar breadsticks, ciabatta crostini, artisan compound butters, and Grandmother’s silken liver Paté, enriched with a splash of brandy and a hint of orange zest, served with a jewel-like fig compote.

Festive Canapés

Canapé options include lemon-thyme chicken skewers char-grilled with peppers and a honey-mustard glaze, and coriander-spiced lamb meatballs served with a cool mint and yoghurt sauce.

The Main Gathering is a celebration of fire, flavour, and family. Dikeme Farms offers slow-roasted and braaied meats at the heart of the Christmas table.

From the Roast & Grill

Roast and grill options include leg of lamb slow roasted with rosemary, garlic, and a red wine glaze; beef fillet encrusted with cracked black pepper and drizzled with a rich brandy and green peppercorn reduction; and braaied lamb chops marinated in a classic rosemary-garlic butter or a zesty peri-peri glaze, kissed by the fire for that authentic South African braai flavour.

Hearty and Beloved classics

The assortment of beloved Christmas menu classics includes slow-braised oxtail & baked mac ‘n’ cheese; tender mutton simmered in a fragrant, tomato-based curry, infused with traditional spices and served with a side of fluffy, buttery Roti for scooping; pulled brisket paired with fluffy steamed cornbread; and a choice between classic lemon & thyme roast or a glossy, sweet-and-spicy honey-soy served with chilli glaze chicken wings.

Table of Sides

A vibrant harvest of salads and vegetables will be served from the garden, each designed to complement the robust flavours of the main feast.

Expect a lineup of sides that includes a DIY salad bar, crisp Mediterranean salad, chakalaka, creamed spinach with a hint of nutmeg, honey & thyme roasted butternut, a farm-roasted vegetable medley, crispy rosemary & garlic roast potatoes, and steamed Dombolo with spicy rice.

Sweet finales

No Christmas feast is complete without a decadent end. The dessert selection is a joyful tribute to the season.

Indulge in a range of sweet delicacies, including Christmas trifle pots, peppermint crisp tart cups, caramel pecan cheesecake, classic pecan pie, and artisan ice cream & sauce with a choice of velvet vanilla or Dikeme Farms’ special Rooibos-infused ice cream, drowned in a rich, dark chocolate sauce.

Beverage options

Finally, to elevate your feast, there is a broad selection of hand-picked beverages from the Cape’s finest vineyards.

Your welcome drink is a refreshing glass of Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wine, adorned with a seasonal festive twist. Plus, each table receives a bottle of wine from a choice of crisp Sauvignon blanc or a bright,
fruity Rosé.

For the children or for those opting for a non-alcoholic option, a selection of fresh fruit juices, water, homemade ginger beer, and a signature Rooibos Iced Tea with mint and lemon is available. The open bar will also sell a selection of champagne, wine, beers and ciders, along with soft drinks.

Something for the kids

Dikeme Farms has created a special festive experience for the little ones to ensure the day is magical for all, with an added Junior Farmers Festive Party Pack.

Each child receives their own festive box filled with a mini colouring book and crayons, fruit and marshmallow sweet skewers, and a bag of oven-roasted pecans.

Plus, there will be a dedicated Kids’ Corner with a platter of fresh fruit, mild cheeses, crackers, and seedless grapes.
