Christopher Duigan, regarded as one of South Africa’s leading concert pianists, performs weekly concerts on Wednesday’s and Saturdays.
Presented on Facebook, Youtube and Vimeo, his live sessions offer audiences an interactive music experience. The programme includes a series of unique concerts within Duigan’s home in KwaZulu-Natal, where he plays various classics.
Having performed extensively with all leading South African orchestras, including the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic, Cape Philharmonic and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestras – all done in a repertoire of more than 25 concerti – Christopher Duigan has developed an enviable reputation with imaginative and wide ranging programming. He is a sought after musical partner with ongoing creative collaborations with some of South Africa’s leading performers. Names of note include soprano Bronwen Forbay, baritone Federico Freschi, and London-based Joanne Rozario (clarinet and alto saxophone) to name a few.
While his live stream performances are free, guests are encouraged to donate, the funds used by Music Revival, which presents classical music concerts in numerous, and often unexpected, settings.
