Gear up for the 4th edition of the Creative Native Classic Motor Show and Picnic event coming to the historic James Hall Museum of Transport on Saturday, 1 March. The festival features an exhibition of retro cars, a craft market, live music and family entertainment. Here’s what you need to know.

What to expect at the Creative Native Motor Show and Picnic
The Creative Native Classic Motor and Picnic festival is all about providing a platform for local communities to learn about the city’s valuable history and heritage, and also revive museum-going culture.
The James Hall Museum of Transport will once again open their doors to show off its valuable historic transport collection, artefacts and memorabilia at Creative Native Classic Motor and Picnic. Guided museum tours and an outdoor display of classic and vintage cars and motorbikes by various motor clubs and private collectors are available on the day. And as part of this special programme, the museum will also avail its iconic 1952 London Bus for thrilling rides around town.
This family-friendly fun day features a vintage market, live music entertainment, children’s activities and a variety of food stalls that will be selling all kinds of delectable food and refreshments.
Guests are welcome to bring their picnic blankets, cushions, and chairs to enjoy the activities of the day in a relaxed environment. Entrance is free, however online registration via Quicket is compulsory. The Creative Native Classic Motor Show and Picnic forms part of Arts Alive, the City of Joburg’s annual flagship programme.
