Cut and Craft Bistro is known to serve a mean cappuccino as well as a full array of coffee like cortado, macchiato, espresso and various lattes. you might want to start the day with a wholesome farm-style breakfast with all the trimmings, or a light omelette, breakfast pans, and fluffy flapjacks.
This restaurant in Kensington consistently serves some of the best cuisines from South Africa and beyond ranging from seafood to steaks, to wraps and steak rolls and beautiful wholesome salads. They also bake all their pastries in-house, and the French meringue is a must-try for all dessert lovers.

The atmosphere at Cut and Craft Bistro
The bistro is known for its unique artisan and steampunk interiors, particularly the ornate bar. The owners are absolutely besotted with steampunk and pulled some inspiration from European countries such as Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria where the steampunk aesthetic is quite prevalent, and from the popular Truth Coffee Roasting in Cape Town.
Cut and Craft Bistro opened its doors in October 2017 with only three tables, a kitchen, and a front veranda to start with. After more building and renovations between 2019 and the height of COVID-19, it became the charming and quirky spot it is known as today with three bathrooms, enough space to host 70 guests, and a takeaway service now available on MrD, Uber and directly through the bistro.
